Tom Ebro has 28-years of accumulated “hands-on” litigation-support with courtroom-testifying experience and handling of over 1,500 prior cases for both Plaintiff and Defense.
1959 - 1965: As Aquatics Director for the Multnomah County (Oregon) Parks & Recreation Department in Portland, Tom Ebro served as head lifeguard and county’s aquatics director for swimming, diving, lifeguard and safety courses, boating, and military survival training programs. Tom Developed and managed Blue Lake Aquatic Center, one of the nation’s earliest multi-faceted water parks.
1965 - 1975: Tom Ebro was responsible for aquatic programming at more than 50 regional public swimming pools (including lakes and beaches) for Los Angeles County. Administrator of SCUBA certification standards and safety legislation. Oversaw aquatic education programs, safety training, and public relations dealing with the media and aquatics industries. Tom served for 10 years as LA County Medical Examiner’s Deputy Coroner and Aquatics Accident Invetigator under Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas Noguchi. He was responsible for forensic investigation of aquatic fatalities and testifying in coroner inquests.
1978 - 1980: Tom was General Manager of Spanish Bay Reef Resort in the Cayman Islands and was responsible for operations and expansion. Created for advanced SCUBA-divers and underwater photographers, this remote dive operation featured luxury bungalows, gourmet dining, nightly entertainment, a training pool and marina, with daily (four dive boats) instructor-supervised scuba-tours. As General Manager, Tom Ebro trained staff, supervised the dive operation, built a freshwater training basin, created a state-of-the-art air-filling system, photo-processing lab, classrooms, equipment repairs and permanent buoyage at dive sites. Under Tom's direction, this resort was voted “Best of the Lot” by Undercurrent Magazine and Tom Ebro earned the government’s award of Cayman Islands’ “Outstanding Hotel Administrator.”
1981 - 1985: During this time, Tom was the Chief designer and developer of Rum Cay Club, a remote (private air-transportation) Caribbean beachfront luxury-resort in the Bahamas. While in this position, Tom developed advanced SCUBA programs and instruction, underwater tours, recreational boating, sailing, windsurfing, swimming, and beach and spa activities. Tom designed the resort’s custom 34’ tri-hull dive boats and system for filling 200 SCUBA tanks. Tom also trained personnel in operational and safety procedures and developed all aspects of the resort’s aquatics programs.
